Well it certainly has been quite an exciting morning here at Clef HQ in San Francisco and, we’ve got a lot to be excited about.
Today we officially launched the company and announced the consumer availability of a very cool new authentication feature called the Wave.
For those of you who might not be familiar with Clef, our mission is to do away with inconvenient and insecure one and two-factor authentication processes — for good. Instead, we want to replace your login credentials with a far more secure digital authentication signature that resides on your phone. And this is where Clef’s Wave comes in.
The Wave is our brand new data transmission channel between phone and computer — replacing the QR for good. With Clef’s Wave, you can now easily access any site within our network with a just a simple wave (no pun intended) of your phone
In addition to the Wave, Clef also protects your identity via our unique technical architecture, which dynamically distributes your digital login credentials between your paired mobile device and secure cloud-based data services. This insures that your identity will remain virtually impenetrable from hack attacks, like the ones that targeted major sites like Twitter, Living Social, Linked In, Yahoo and Zen Desk.
As Clef continues to grow, one of our goals is to make our service ubiquitous on all of your favorite sites. So we’ve made it incredibly easy for you to suggest Clef to those sites that matter to you. The more sites that integrate with Clef, the safer all of our personal information will be.
